A question has weighed on the minds of gay men since the dawn of homosexual time: why are hot guys such assholes?
Now, I鈥檓 not saying all hot guys are assholes 鈥 I鈥檒l get to that later 鈥 but I think it is very fair to say that a majority of attractive men are assholes, pigs and jerks.
This is what I call the 鈥榟ottie-to-asshole ratio鈥 鈥 the more attractive a man is, the more likely he is to be an asshole.
鈥淏ut they are hot, they can afford to be assholes,鈥 you say to yourself.
Sorry, but just because someone has abs doesn鈥檛 mean they are incapable of manners.
Unfortunately, I have experienced this firsthand.
This cute guy, ripped as anything, walked up to me in a bar. We started chatting, having a drink, and I found we had surprisingly a lot in common. Suddenly he said 鈥淵uck,鈥 as a boy walked past him.
At first I didn鈥檛 really pay too much attention 鈥 until I realised the boy who walked past us was also an old friend of mine.
When I asked this guy why he said, 鈥淵uck鈥, his answer was, 鈥淚 hate short guys, they are ugly鈥.
If I鈥檓 able to look over the fact that you measure your success in pressed kilos, then I think you could cut this kid some slack.
He had never been rude to you, didn鈥檛 even look at you, yet you felt the need, due to your supposed 鈥榟eightened鈥 superiority, to rip on this kid.
There are of course exceptions to this rule. I have met some hotties who are quite decent people 鈥 the boy who doesn鈥檛 fit this theory at all, the guy who finds the balance between being attractive and not being an asshole.
They have personality, charisma, and a cute face to match.
Sigh 鈥 gotta get me one of those.

sooooo true… to the point where if someone starts talking to me and they’re “toned/buff, ripped” – whatever we shall call it… i get immediately turned off and tend not to engage…
guess that makes me a jerk too… vicious cycle this is isnt it!
Unfortunately projection of our self loathing, especially when young is a hard one to miss.
You might find the most insecure, and via projection potentially toxic, are those you might consider, ‘ripped’; they tend to validate their insecurity with an over-emphasis on body-this can take many forms, for example steroid use and eating disorders. Unfortunately exaggerated body forms have been re-enforced by Gay media since BG (before Gay).
Then again, there are good looking guys that are…nice.
