THE Warwick rowers聽 are currently in the US promoting their 2015 calendar and already beginning their photo shoot for a 2016 calendar.
Speaking to聽the聽Huffington Post, the shirtless rowers explained that the calendars were originally created to raise money for their sport, but聽after the gay community showed support in the calendar they decided to give back by donating 10 per cent of sales to combating homophobia in sports through the
“Our way of giving something back 鈥斅燽ecause [the gay community was] supporting us and enabling us to row 鈥� was to, as young straight athletes, stand in alliance with them and stand up for their rights,” rower Laurence Hulse said.

And now finally I know why they always yell out “stroke”!
It’s a pity they kept emphasizing through the interview that they were straight. As in, “we do this for gay people, but just to make it clear we’re not gay .” Still, kudos to them.
