How much junk do you have stored in your memory? Nearly 100 people found out at the first DOB trivia night. The evening went off like a backfiring Honda Shadow in the parade.
The ballroom at Five Dock RSL was gorgeous and our MC, Graeme, was exceedingly entertaining. We raised amost $2000 for our charities thanks to those who attended. Lots of people have asked when the next one would be held so keep your eyes open for another brain teasing event early next year.
But why wait until then to spend time with some Dykes on Bikes. Kick-off your festive season with the DOB X-mas party on Saturday, December 18 at the Hampshire Hotel, 91 Parramatta Rd, Camperdown. The party will start at 5pm and keep going until late. Everyone is welcome to attend as this is the time for friends and your community.
DOB members should contact a committee member if they are coming so we can ensure that Santa packs a present for them. As the Hampshire has a great beer garden children are also welcome. Please bring along a wrapped present with a name tag if you would like one included in Santa’s sack.
We’ll hold a meeting before the party at 4pm and I would like to ask as many members as possible to come along a little early so we can have a chat about the club and what will be happening in 2011.
We will also be taking registrations from 5-7pm, and remember the early worm gets their choice of colour in the parade.
Last but not least, don’t forget to head to Domayne in O’Riordan St, Alexandria to check out our Christmas.
DOB is going head to head (or branch to branch) with three other community clubs in the inaugural ‘Deck the Tree’ event.
Thanks to the Star Observer, the winning club will receive some wonderful prizes from Domayne for their charity fundraising so come along and show your support.
Until next time, ride safe and sexy.
