That the indifference we showed to lgbt people being persecuted and killed overseas should be one of our greatest shames
That there was an emergence of whiny people taking offense at everything even something as innocuous as Millsie’s Twitter post showing the Swans player being sodomised because they lost… Probably also that it was a bit of a quiet period in terms of strong political leadership on the issue with Bill Shorten (yawn) attending ACL events, and Tony Abbott despite having a lesbian sister refuses to budge on the issue. That about sums it up. It’s gonna happen, (marriage equality) but not while we don’t have any major parties having it as policy and a courageous leader.
