One response to “POLL – Federal Budget: Will having to pay $7 to see a doctor and get a blood test affect how regularly you go to get a HIV test?”
If a $7 co-payment is going to prevent someone from going to their doctor when they need to it’s time they got a new attitude. As a disability pensioner I’m finding it difficult to believe some of the things I’ve been hearing over the last week. If I can manage a co-payment others can too! I think its a matter of huge concern that so many people are screaming like stuck pigs over the budget and don’t seem to realise that if we don’t make these changes now its going to be a very different situation in five or six years time. Forget the added benefits – we could seriously be looking at cuts to all pensions of 30% or more! It’s time Aussies stopped whining and woke up. Our income is falling because commodities are falling in price and our billion dollar interest bill per month, alone, is going to continue to grow at an alarming rate. For the sake of us all, I hope more people start waking up big time.
