Happy New Year to all our readers, we hope you had a safe, fun and enjoyable time. Tropical Fruits NYE festivities were a fabulous success as was the ACON Northern Rivers health promotion paparazzi stall where people posed in front of an aquatic backdrop or a three-metre high character from the new ACON Know The Risk campaign.

Summer is a great time to get outdoors and enjoy what Lismore has to offer in the way of markets. There are currently three markets in the revitalised City Centre, they include: the Lismore Farmers’ market which takes place in Magellan Street every Thursday from 4.30pm onwards.
The Twilight Market is held on the fourth Saturday evening of every calendar month and features vintage and retro fashion, handcrafted clothing and free entertainment. The Twilight Market is located on the northern side of Magellan St in between Carrington and Molesworth streets.
The Con Artists market; which is held every first Saturday in the month from 11am onwards in the grounds of the Northern Rivers Conservatorium in Keen Street in conjunction with the monthly free Cushion Concerts. Each of these markets is viewed as an attraction to help draw people back to the City Centre either after hours or on weekends the core recommendation of the ‘Lismore Alive’ Final Report, which the Lismore City Council Promotion Program is largely based on.
