Mid-North Coast’s Summer Ball is on Saturday, December 8at the Wauchope Function Centre.

Coastal Castaways, OutNHastings and Coast Out Coffs Harbour are joining forces to bring the Mid-North Coast a Christmas Party to remember. The night will be hosted by Sandy Bottom with performances from Coco Jumbo and Paris Eta Mol. DJ Lady K (Brisbane) and DJ Big Furr (Sydney) will be featuring. Door prizes and raffles tickets are available for $25 online at    or $30 at the door.

Tickets also available at The Bean Bar Taree, The Paper Girls Port Macquarie and Ice Graphics Coffs Harbour.

AIDS Awareness Week runs from November 24-December 1.

In the Hunter there are several activities: Cessnock, Lake Macquarie and Newcastle Libraries will feature displays;  Local HIV/AIDS Memorial Quilts are on display at the Newcastle Museum and a special afternoon tea will be held in conjunction with the exhibition to mark World AIDS Day Saturday, December 1 at 2pm; AIDS Awareness Week stalls at local shopping centres, the Pacific Clinic and the John Hunter Hospital.

There are lots of events on in December at the Gateway Hotel.  On Saturday, December 1, is Jimbo and his goat Gary – a hilarious comedy act. Rude, filthy, brilliant, 9.30pm, $20.

Friday, December 7 Sound Kitchen presents ‘Fingersmith’ – the event for girls who like girls. Presale tickets are $15.

Saturday December 8 and 15 is Ho Ho Homo! A miracle on Maitland Rd, presented by Madeline von Mantrapp and Savannah von Spelling, featuring Bubbles Le Gay as Mrs Claus. $15 includes finger food.  Friday, December 14 is Sound Kitchen presents ‘Grandma’s Loungeroom’ – live music, teapot cocktails, $5.   Contact the hotel for information on any of these events – (02) 4969 1848

Unity Nightclub also has much going on in December. Saturday, December 1 is Code RED from 9pm. This is a fundraiser for Karumah Positive Living Centre. Friday, December 7 is  Sugar and Spice’s brand new show. Saturday, December 8, #Thebrotherhood presents, Friday, December 14 is Cartoon Heroes with Maddy and Savannah and Saturday, December 15 is Potbelleez DJz.
