Tasmanian Senator Fires Back At Posie Parker: ‘Vile, Disgraceful’

Greens Tasmanian Senator Nick McKim has bestowed a brutal nickname for anti-trans activist Kellie-Jay Keen-Minshull, after she went after his family with hateful comments.
Known online under the alias Posie Parker, has been touring around Australia for about a week now. And while her supporters have shown up at her rallies, they鈥檝e been vastly outnumbered by trans rights activists.
She鈥檚 currently travelling around the country as part of her Let Women Speak campaign and has so far travelled to Brisbane, Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Hobart.
At her rally in Melbourne, neo-Nazis and protesters that seek violence on queer folk were in attendance. It was this rally that caused many politicians to voice their 鈥渄isgust鈥� at her campaign.
In a fiery speech in the Senate on Wednesday 22nd March, McKim called Keen-Minshull a 鈥減athetic excuse for a human being鈥� after Keen-Minshull reportedly called McKim鈥檚 partner and fellow Greens MP Cassy O鈥機onnor a 鈥済roomer.鈥�

鈥淚 say to Posie Parker, or whatever pseudonym Kellie-Jay Keen-Minshull wants to go by, that what she did yesterday was vile, disgraceful, untrue and disgusting,鈥� he said.

McKim has claimed that Keen-Minshull has admitted that she 鈥渨asn鈥檛 a feminist.鈥�
鈥淚 agree with her that she鈥檚 not a feminist. There are plenty of transphobes like her who are not feminists. We need to call Posie [and her] ilk what they actually are. That is trans-exclusionary right-wing dropkicks 鈥� T-E-R-D-S,鈥� he said.

McKim鈥檚 passionate speech denouncing Keen-Minshull comes after the latter accused O鈥機onnor of being a 鈥済roomer.鈥�
The two MPs are parents to O鈥機onnor鈥檚 trans son Jasper, who attended the pro-trans counter-protest in Hobart with O鈥機onnor.
Jasper was seen in various live streams standing behind his mother, holding a sign that promoted trans rights. He, unfortunately, became the victim of a Twitter user who posted various pictures of McKim鈥檚 son during his transition.
鈥淎nother pathetic excuse for a human being, who goes by the name of Kimberley Allen, deadnamed my stepson Jasper Lees on Twitter,鈥� McKim said.
鈥淒eliberately misgendered him on Twitter and said the most vile and disgusting things about him. Well, Kimberley Allen, you can get in the bin alongside Posie Parker.鈥�
鈥淛asper has more humanity in his little toenail than either of you have in your entire bodies.鈥�

It’s so heartening to see these comments, so different to the UK which is getting close to removing all trans rights, and no-one, not newspapers (not even left -leaning ones like the Guardian), not TV, not politicians, not even the Human Rights Commission are standing up for trans people. I imagine it was like this in Germany in 1938.
It鈥檚 wonderful to see activists and politicians coming together to denounce the evil TERD but she should never have been allowed in the country in the first place to promote Hatred and transphobia鈥︹��.hopefully this can be used as an example in future to take a tougher stance on these bigots and prevent them coming into the country, which we sadly weren鈥檛 successful in stopping this time!
I’m sure delightful actress Parker Posey would choke to learn that an opportunistic bottle blonde who takes her styling tips from an old John Waters movie, has merely done a lazy flip of her name to become a serial pest. This is the soft target politics cultivated by the G.O.P. in the U.S. and closer to home, FNQ. It will always find an audience because, ….well…. dickheads.
