Queensland is a so called hung parliament state at the moment, so the Labor government is treading very carefully indeed! They just do not want to upset the LNP, the 2 Katter party members and the 2 conservative independents!

Exactly correct, it is the same Queensland Labor government (who have promised 3 LGBT topics in there 2015 state election manifesto) by implementing an equal age of consent, an expungement scheme and abolition of the gay panic defence – and they had over a year to do it, but no bills introduced as of yet on those! Time is ticking away and the next Queensland election will be in early 2018!

Darren Russel must have announced three times that the HIV Foundation would be offering free PrEP last year and nothing came of it. Now the Health Minister announces a committee!! has the PrEP trial even started yet? When is Queensland going to put a pill into somebodies hand?
