Unique coming out notice goes viral
A BRISBANE聽mother has received an overwhelming heartfelt response after she celebrated her son鈥檚 coming-out as a male in the birth section of a newspaper.
Yolanda Bogert, mother to Kai Bogert, submitted to the Courier Mail a retracted birth tribute for her son who recently came out to his parents as trans*.
Yolonda聽reportedly said she did this聽as a way to express her full support to her son.
The notice read: 鈥淚n 1995 we announced the arrival of our sprogget, Elizabeth Anne as a daughter. Oops! Our bad. We would like to present our wonderful son 鈥 Kai Bogert. Loving you is the easiest thing in the world. Tidy your room.鈥
Kai that he did not expect his mother鈥檚 response and has since felt freer after announcing his true gender identity.
鈥淚 am so happy with what she has done,” he said.
“This last week has changed everything for me.”
Pictures of the tribute has gone viral on social media, 聽with more than 4200 retweets on Twitter alone.
