Hi,its been 1 month now when i met Dr,Odetokun and i have been perfectly fine. MY name is becky smith,i had contacted
HIV/AID since i was 21yrs and i never know that i was HIV positive until i went for a competition in my school after
they tested me and found out that i was positive they told me to back out from the competition,it was not even that
which was surprising but that i had contacted HIV.
I started seeking for help in different hospital and churches but there was no effective response to my sick state.

In reply to Drongo. What a silly response. Why shouldn't QLD use all that's available to them. If everyone just got over the fact that, shock horror, a liberal government is actually interested in investing in this area, groups like the HIV Foundation and others would be able to get on with it. People grandstanding and saying ridiculous things like "the QLD govt is refusing to participate" is getting a bit tired.

This is rubbish. This education/prevention expertise exists in Australia & we have some of the smartest most creative gay men and HIV educators in the world – plus people with HIV get this treatment access already – there is nothing that the Canadian model can teach us. This is simply the Qld govt refusing to participate in the Australian HIV response and it is shameful for Dr Russel to collude with this. This should be a story about scandalous and expensive stupid Qld politicians…

Be even better if Queensland Health and the HIV Foundation Queensland were actually visibly doing HIV Promotion/Prevention work throughout the State of Queensland and explain how they are reaching GLBTI people especially now regarding this new MoU initiative !
