Women’s health conference dates confirmed
Female health specialists will continue to push for a national agenda on women’s health at the sixth annual women’s health conference, now confirmed for May 18-21 next year.
The conference’s list of keynote speakers was announced this week, with a range of international and local health advocates confirmed, including Governor-General Quentin Bryce and the Women’s Electoral Lobby’s Eva Cox.
Abstracts for the conference are currently being considered but a predominant concern for guests and speakers will be the push for a national agenda on women’s health in Australia.
The conference offers a platform for mobilising capacity for women’s health and wellbeing in Australia in the context of the Federal Government’s agreement last year to develop a new national women’s health policy, the opening description for the conference read.
