Leader of the Christian Democratic Party Fred Nile has backed the Coalition for Marriage’s recent campaign ad suggesting same-sex marriage will lead to radical sex education in schools.

The ad, which was to be aired during the day,聽features text lifted from Minus18鈥檚聽OMG I鈥檓 Trans聽补苍诲听OMG I鈥檓 Queer听谤别蝉辞耻谤肠别蝉.

The Coalition for Marriage has continuously argued that marriage equality in Australia will see a rise in radical sex education in school, something they tenuously conflate with the pro-LGBTI and anti-bullying Safe Schools program.

In a statement, Nile responded to the ad by claiming that changing the law on marriage would have “lasting and damaging consequences”.

“The only lie here is that so-called same-sex ‘marriage’ won’t result in a dangerous ideology being pushed on children as young as twelve,” he said.

“We’ve heard it straight – no pun intended – from the horse’s mouth: radical ‘gay’ sex education will be the next step.

“It’s telling that their own material can’t be shown before 8:30pm and has to have an MA rating, but will be force-fed in primary schools throughout Australia.”

Despite the No campaign’s renewed efforts to incite fear among parents around primary school students, the main focus of Safe Schools has always been to help secondary school students.

鈥淸Safe Schools] continues to support secondary schools as its main focus. We also respond to requests from primary school educators for assistance such as support, advice, and staff training in meeting the needs of their students and school communities,鈥 they said.

Nile recently made headlines after 聽that gay people may start handing out separate citizenships and adopting rapper Macklemore鈥檚 song Same Love as their national anthem.

The marriage equality postal survey is coming to a close, with the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) recommending eligible voters return their forms this week.

  1. and also add,
The No campaign will ensure that every married couple without children will have their marriages revoked since they are not aiding in the procreation of children.

  2. Poor old FRED!. He used to be known as Fred Vile from the Festival of FRIGHT. Prays every Mardi Gras for God to make it rain and it never has yet.

  3. Really, they say that they (the NO Campaign) have been harassed and spat at and not been allowed to have there say or been listened to. Well, seriously with lies and crap like this article coming from Nile, I would not blame anybody from slapping his face. The NO campaign have run a disgraceful campaign but it was to be expected. The Anglican Church has allot to answer for especially its Archbishop for misusing church funds to the tune of $1M. Big governance issues here I think, especially when they lost over $100M playing the market a few years back and nearly had to sell the farm. Now in the final hours the NO Campaign wheel out old Fred with his zimmer frame. Shows what a tragic state politics is in when a man who has been so totally wrong re public policy, and has become a dinosaur in most peoples eyes, is still allowed to milk the public purse. Nile you really contribute nothing to public debate anymore so just retire.

  4. Well since there’s no longer a need for any factual basis of these sorts of claims, I’m pretty comfortable predicting the following:

    1. When the No campaign win, every single parent and divorced/remarried parent will be forced by the armed forces to return to the biological co-parent of their kid. After all, it’s all about the rights of children and kids need their mum and dad.
    2. The No campaign will ensure that everyone who is not a parent will be shot to death. Why not? They’re not advancing the rights of children, let’s face it, what value to they have?
    3. Any kids who have lost their parents because they’ve been killed by the military for refusing to go back to their ex will be raised by Catholic priests. They completely understand family values, what could possibly go wrong?

I’ve formed these views based on the media-reported claims of the No campaign, their signs at rallies and their advertising. And it’s about as likely to be true as what Fred Nile is crapping on about.
