Whoops! Thor is into brotherly love?
Double take 鈥� wait what? Is that Thor (Chris Hemsworth) intimately hugging his brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston) on the the posters advertising the new Thor movie, Thor: The Dark World, in Shanghai Cinemas? Why I think it is.
The photo which is a doctored image where Thor is seen protecting the movies character scientist Jane Forster (Natalie Portman) has Thor’s villainous brother Loki s head photoshopped to replace Jane’s.
From what we understand the Loki version of the poster can be tracked back to, and unfortunately now deleted, a post on Chinese microblogging website Weibo by user bbqfish2012.
Clearly designed to thrill and entertain the gay following of the movie franchise bbqfish2012 who designed the unofficial poster wrote on her Weibo: ‘Damn it! If I were paid 1 yuan each time the photo is retweeted, I would be rich.’
But how the cinema house in Shanghai accidentally came across the image to use in the advertising of the movie, well I guess we will never know.
The poster is kind of hot, and even though they are brothers, Loki is adopted, so it’s not as weird as it could be. I think they make a cute couple, and Loki really does look happy for a change. But who wouldn’t be very cozy and happy in Chris Hemsworth’s arms.
