US actress and stand-up comedienne Lily Tomlin will be performing as part of the 2011 Mardi Gras Festival.<\/p>\n
Appearing at the Enmore Theatre on Friday, March 4, the award-winning and openly lesbian screen icon is part of a stellar season line-up planned for next year\u2019s festival.<\/p>\n
\u201cLily Tomlin is one of the world\u2019s finest actresses and talented comediennes, and we couldn\u2019t be happier to have her join us in Sydney for Mardi Gras 2011,\u201d NMG CEO Michael Rolik said.<\/p>\n

The 2011 New Mardi season, to be staged over two weeks in the lead-up to the March 5 parade and party, will boast more than 80 events.<\/p>\n
As well as Tomlin, best-selling author of the Tales of the City <\/em>series Armistead Maupin and gay activist Peter Tatchell will head to the city for festival.<\/p>\n
