Sydney’s Queer Screen Film Festival announces opening movies ahead of festival
AHEAD of its 2015 season in September, Queer Screen Film Festival hasÌýannounced three of the 12Ìýfilms that will feature in the line-up for the festivalÌýat Event Cinemas George Street in Sydney.
Opening night will see the screening of Boulevard, a movie about a depressed married man workingÌýin aÌýdead-end job whoÌýmeets a young sex worker and develops a relationship with him.
Already critically-acclaimed, theÌýmovie is the last movie actor Robin Williams starred in on screen before he died last year.
Other movies announced include Margarita With A Straw, a film that follows Delhi-based university student Laila on her journey of self-discovery, independence and sexual awakening, as well asÌýCut Snake,Ìýan Australian film that centres around a relationship between prison inmates Merv and Jim on the outside as Merv tries to hide his past in the city of Melbourne.
