Twenty + 10 = 30
What do you say about a youth organisation that is turning 30?
I’m pretty sure I’ve spoken here before about how lucky I consider myself to have my job, and to be at Twenty10 at this moment in time.
It’s one of the best things I have ever known and while I know that has not been the experience of everyone who has walked through or alongside the organisation over the past 29 years, I have been fortunate to hear some wonderful stories and memories about momentous things that have started from here.
Families, friendships, careers and opportunities, exhibitions, connections and life lessons aplenty, and I know there are hundreds more out there amongst you.
I am using this opportunity to ask you to think about your experience of Twenty10.
When did you first hear about the organisation? Have you ever accessed a service the organsiation has provided? Have you ever worked at Twenty10 or been a member of the committee or board? If you have an answer you would like to share with us, we would like to hear from you.
This is because we want to collect our heritage and take it with us into our next 30 years and we want to move on to new adventures and challenges, without forgetting where we have been and the marks the agency has left on not only our community, but the many and varied people in it.
Please take a moment to contact us and share with us your story.
If you feel comfortable sending an image for us to use along with your story, that would be welcomed but words are equally powerful.
You can write to us at [email protected] or you can call Scarlett on 02 8594 9558 if you have any questions.
