Thanks for the comments people, but I can’t take sole credit for the point I’ve raised regarding the demise of the Sydney scene. A few people I know have mentioned this and it’s not the first time it’s occurred to me either.

It does beg the question though – if the scene (or Oxford St) is dead, then what (if anything) are we gonna do about it?

No i think he is raising a good point here, Its funny we have so many endless arguments on why the scene has died and no one has thought of this reason before.. makes sence to me.
