Let Jamie have his fifteen minutes and be thankful that he has unwittingly probably prevented you and your friends from having their heads slammed in to the ground at next years Mardi Gras.

Also, I’m not ‘desperately wrong’ – Jamie’s struggles were mentioned in response to Jesse Matheson’s assertions that he had all this ‘community support’ behind him when he did not. It was not about being owed anything. I really think you’ve taken that out of context.

I did, however, enjoy reading no less than 8 paragraphs exclusively about yourself and your showreel. Good luck to you.

I do hope Star’s assurance they won’t be posting another Op-Ed on this does not preclude someone who they should of really asked for a piece weeks ago – Jamie Jackson himself. As an aside, his recording career did not officially start today, somebody has leaked a version of his song on YouTube. If he will release a song you will have to ask him.

That it means that Jamie’s lawyer has been paid but that’s it?

It seems to me that the gay community as a whole feels ‘entitled’ if it feels no need to empathize with a young gay teen who was literally bashed by police at the 2013 Mardi Gras parade. Maybe we’ve had it too good for too long, that we’d rather take the police’s viewpoint, and to hell with our fellow community members who ‘step out of line’ and find themselves getting treated disgracefully
