On the other hand not letting a transgender child be themselves and live there own life and no one elses is child abuse itself. Take note South Australia!

My involvement in the Sex Party is no secret, in fact there’s another article in the same issue of the Star Observer talking about it. I’m not a candidate right now because there isn’t an election happening, but I am trying my best to grow the NSW branch. If you’d like to help make that happen, feel free to call the Sex Party office on 02 9513 9299.

This is an editorial, from a one paper town. I often wonder how far down the Yellow Brick Road we have come, when such material is still published. They of course, argue free speech. Yell fire at a cinema, when none exist, also could be argued free speech, despite the panic it causes.

The paper has still not published a clarification from the press council. The press council found The article began by saying “the hunt for child abusers is on”, referred to community concerns and current investigations relating to paedophilia and sexual abuse of children, and mentioned a threat from pornography and sexual content in popular culture. It then focussed on what it called “transgenderism” and described as “the latest manifestation of the revolution”. It went on and on.

It is hard to imagine the hardship and hurt such editorials create.

More can be found on the press councils website, and the change website.

Most of Australia has moved on, but the Bairnsdale Advertiser appears to me to long for the days when we are killed or thrown into prison.
