Have a sisterly long weekend
It’s the season for public holidays, with Easter just passed and ANZAC Day around the corner. Before we know it, Queen’s Birthday will be here in June.
For as long as I can remember the Blue Mountains has been a favourite place to get away for the long weekend — the scenery, wildlife and the peace and quiet.
The June long weekend is the perfect time to visit as this is the social event for the year with the Three Sisters mountains group hosting the annual Disco and Talent Quest (June 12) as well as the Grand Costume Ball (June 13) themed ‘A Night on Broadway’. Both events are open to all. You’re encouraged to dress up for the Grand Costume Ball, as it is a formal three-course sit-down dinner, followed by another great night of dancing.
Why not get a group of people together or that special loved one, and head to the Blue Mountains for the long weekend, June 12-14. It might seem this date is far away but it’s important to get in early as accommodation is limited as well as tickets to both these events.
