On one hand it’s a shame that it takes celebrities and sporting heros to impact on mainstream society as far as homosexuals are concerned….but on the flip side, this is Australia and sport is a religeon so why wouldn’t someone like Mathhew Mitcham help make a difference. It’s really nice to see that there are some changes ahead. I have to say though when I watched Mitcham dive and win Gold, not only was I thrilled for him but I was also thrilled for homosexuals around Australia too, in a kind of “HA! Sucko…look what one of us did!” he he he.
