Better than today
“What is the point of worrying about being being cool?/ There are so many things they never teach you at school/ I don’t believe what they say/ We just want tomorrow to be better than today.”
If you live next door to me, around the corner or around the world, you will already know the words to this brilliant song.
You may also know that one of the longstanding gay-operated venues on Oxford St has now changed hands. There are few things in this life that are certain.
What’s that I hear you saying … CHANGE!
Things change all the time. Some for good and some for bad. Some make you happy and some make you sad.
I am sad because I remember how it used to be. I am a Scorpio and have a tattoo on my arm of a phoenix — that symbolises rising from the ashes.
“You have got to feel it/ See it/ Know how much you mean it/ What is the point of living if you don’t take a chance.”
Let me tell you right now that there will a place on Oxford St where we all will be able to wear our leather, rubber and fetish gear.
“Fabrications complicate the word in the world/ Too much information plays with your head/ Very people know we all need a chance/ To stop our clever business/ And let’s go and dance.”
I invite all of you personally to come and dance!
And I will be dancing with you in full leather gear to good music, with a good sound system, and an intimate atmosphere along with good drink prices.
