From that point, it leaves me wondering who could think it affirms or celebrates gay and lesbian life. I could imagine it appealing to (straight, male) teenagers, and that is about it.

If this were a central part of Mardi Gras’ advertising for this year’s party, all it indicates to me is that the organization has no idea what it is about.

With Rupert Murdoch as your landlord, I can understand that. I gotta say the parties are now nice middle class affairs. If it makes money for GLTBI causes, then I suppose they can keep going. But otherwise, I say let Rupert have the Showgrounds back that night. They have run their course,
