I am an intersexed/transexed individual voice and there’s nothing silent about me. The only anti transness happening here is Oii’s desperate attempts to derail SF and the ISGD community. Has Oii actually thought of working with us as was my first impression? The drama will continue however I have more pressing issues to deal with as opposed to enduring the magical mystical world of Oii and its self appointed spokes people.

Melbourne Still Fierce demonstrates the groundswell that is building for an organisation that aspires to work for all sex and/or Gender Diverse people.

We still need strong organisations that represent various sub groups and advocate on their behalf.

If Still Fierce even in its infancy is already seen as a threat as it spreads nationally and unites traditionally diverse and fragmented people together to fight for all our basic human rights, then it is filling a real need in our community. It will only get stronger and better organised.

Please use revised version below : OII Australia rejects the terminology ISGD as not being truly inclusive of Intersex and as an appropriation of Intersex for what is essentially a Trans agenda. ISGD is Including Intersex in yet another unwanted umbrella term without wide intersex inclusion or consultation. Only individuals with no knowledge of Intersex or the struggle for Intersex rights over the last twenty years would contemplate attempting to rename and realign us in the same way the medical profession did in 2006 with disordered terminology that likewise misconstrued Intersex. The appropriation of Intersex silences Intersex voices and seeks agendas and rights at the expense of real Intersex rights. The rally’s call for the adoption of the sex files clearlty demonstrates the Trans agenda and the misunderstanding of Intersex issues. The sex files were not Inclusive of Intersex and contain recommendations that in our view are detrimental to Intersex. Where the sex files call for all sorts of procedures and protocols for the changing of sex on cardinal documents Intersex call for only one. The right to change those details on the basis of a mistaken assignment at the time of birth. Notions of Transitioning are meaningless to Intersex. ISGD terminology is in fact anti Trans and the invention of a Transsexual woman seeking to do away with the term Transgender.
