There are 1084 pieces of legislation that refer to the Marriage Act, giving special rights and protections. The majority of Australians, even of faith, in the inquiry, overwhelmingly supported marriage equality. But this is not about marriage, this is about a small group of people headed by Julia Gillard, expecting others to live by their beliefs- that not all Australians should be treated equally under the law.
