The Bible, in the Ten Commandments (which apply to the three ‘western’ Religions: Judaism, Christianity and Islam) is unequivocal in it condemnation and specifically states “Thou (you) will Not Commit Adultery”.
Just as our politicians gleefully break that other Commandment “Thou shalt Not Kill? it seems, despite their claims of being “Good Jews/Christians/Muslims” who attend synagogue, church or mosque on a regular basis to display how God-fearing, devout and true they are, think nothing of breaking the “You shall Not commit Adultery” one as well.

Barniy should simply shut up until he can clean up his own lack of morals.

Our Community loves to use the “GLBTIQ” acronym to show how much they support Diversity in Sexuality and Gender so why is it so many reject the “T” part? Transgender people have it hard enough with being rejected by the likes of Barnaby Joyce and the rest of our politicians and all religions so why do we make it hard for them as well by rejecting them? Either we believe in Diversity or we don’t and we should embrace our Transgender brothers & sisters. The ones I know are great and decent, loving people.

It was an Anglican school. It was fairly liberal, I never recall hearing in chapel that gay people were inferior for example, but it was very much a boys’ place, heavily sexist because we simply had zero idea what or who girls were. We had a few female teachers who tended to either survive or die based on how they accepted the inherent sexism of the joint.

Any kid attending that school would who identified so strongly as female that they sought to transition would have wanted out. Any proud woman would have wanted nothing to do with the place.

So in that sense Barnaby is actually talking common sense. He’s a homophobic arsehole who has let down both the gay and Catholic community in a massive way, sure, that’s acknowledged, but on this particular issue he’s not wrong.
