Minus18 reaches crowdfunding target for new space
A NATIONAL organisation that advocates for LGBT youth has successfully reached its聽crowdfunding campaign target to build Victoria鈥檚 first dedicated space for and led by LGBT youth.
Minus18鈥檚 Atrium is聽billed as a space where LGBT youth can be empowered to create change in their communities, where young people can meet other LGBT youth and feel at home, and a space where young people from all over Melbourne can come and be themselves.
The organisation reached its last night, and with 23 days left to go in the campaign, there’s still time for further donations to be made聽as well as聽rewards such as tickets to the launch party.
Minus18 last night highlighting the success of their campaign so far.
“Today we hit the goal of $20,000 to support our youth-led space for LGBT young people,” it read.
“A massive hug is coming the direction of everyone who donated.
“All funds raised from here will go towards even more infrastructure and longer hours of operation.”
Minus18 has more than 50 young volunteers and activists working to create an Australia free from homophobia and transphobia.
