Well surprise Ben, gay people are told what they should believe – all the time, by anyone with an opinion.
Israel Idiot told us that we should believe we’re all going to hell..
and marriage equality objectors told us to believe that we’re wrong and not worthy of equality..
and Israel Idiot told us to believe the drought and bush fires are all our fault because marriage equality got passed.
Of course we don’t listen to them, or you, on what we should believe.. but I believe love will win over small minded bigots like you and Israel Idiot!

It’s disappointing that this idiot now feels vindicated, because he got paid some shut up and go away money. This will add fuel to the ‘religious discrimination’ bill, now saying how necessary it is, to avoid this kind of ‘misunderstanding’ in the future.
As usual, gays and other marginalised groups are being implicitly put on notice, you are the guys in the wrong here and see the problems you’ve caused and all the money spent, but don’t worry, our new discrimination bill will fix you!!!
What the gov gives with one hand they take away with the other. Marriage equality, taken away with religious discrimination..

If there is a hell, Christians like Folau have formulated it for people who somehow differ from them. Imagine living your life in a church and its surrounds with others just like you. The rest of it chasing a ball. Not an elegant image to aspire to. Folau is one of those Christians who shore up their legitimacy by disapproving of others.

People should be able to have their religious beliefs without being persecuted. Imagine if gay people were told what they should believe.

Though it was us who made the most noise we were/are not the only ones who will go to Folau’s imaginary, mythical “Hell”. He, this person who claims he is so devout, so Holy, so Christian (he doesn’t know the meaning of that last word) that he is in direct contact with his imaginary, mythical god and that this god has told him what to say. He condemns us, fornicators, drunks, thieves, drug addicts to his Hell.
BUT the one group of people, and there are many of these in his own and all other religious organisations such as the Roman Catholics, Anglicans, Uniting, Salvos, Baptist, Mormons, Lutherans – the list is almost endless, whom Folau did not, and still has not mentioned once during his Hate Speeches are Paedophiles, Men and Women many of whom claim to be Good Christians who Sexually, Physically and Mentally abuse children – including babies (Adelaide’s Shannon McCool digitally raped a tiny baby –
Why has Folau Not mentioned these monsters?
Too many of them within his sect?
A family member perhaps?

The settlement is disappointing because there’s no judgement, no case law which comes out of it.

On the other hand, the reports in the Murdoch media have the settlement as being in the millions of dollars, while the “supporters” who crowdfunded Folau’s legal team are to be refunded “on a pro-rata basis” (because they have already spent money on lawyers).

So this so-called Christian is rolling in apparently millions of dollars of settlement while his supporters (undoubtedly including pensioners etc) who funded him to have his day in court are out of pocket with nothing to show for it.

It sounds like a big scam to me. Those poor gullible Christians.
