I as a gay activist and my partner have been waiting for Australia to have any openly gay head of state of some description!

There was other good news as well in Victoria on the Adoption Amendment (Equality) Bill about to be introduced too.

Interesting times ahead in 2015!

I look forward to the day when gay men and lesbians do not have to come out of the closet and just be accepted into full society – without any discrimination in employment, housing and accomodation, when same-sex couples can get married like straight couples and that religious bigotry or homophobia is completely abolished or wiped out.
