How about we Australians have our own federal relationship recognition scheme, once 2 adult persons live together after 1 year – called the “Adult Human Relationships Recognition Act 2016!” Also repeal the Marriage Act 1961 and all the words of – “married”, “marriage”, “spouse”, “wife” and “husband” and replace then with – “2 adult persons living together after 1 year must be recognised” throughout Australian federal laws!

This will bind the government common-law on adult human relationships, recognised by the Australian courts since 1984! Once it is statute law or an Act of Parliament, the common-law automatically get repealed – because it is redundant!

Let the church of child molesters from the 10th century dark ages have the redundant, archaic and out-dated silly word marriage – but some of us in the 15 years into the 21st century want a simple, up-to-date human relationship recognition scheme that is easy to pass as law, recognise and be open to EVERYONE and ANYONE as “2 adult persons living together after 1 year must be recognised”!
