If there is one thing we can be sure of it is that Failed PM, Scott Morrison’s religious Discrimination Bill – a vile piece of Legislation which, if it had been passed, would have allowed Catholics, Anglicans, Uniting, Lutheran, Baptist and Pentecostals, Jews, Muslims, Hindus et al. to discriminate not just against Our GLBTIQ+ Community ( surprisingly there still those amongst us who believe in that old, White, fart up in the clouds, the blatant Misogyny of all Religions) but against members of their own Business organisations – let’s face that is all they are now & why do you think they are all so involved in that greatest scam of all “Aged Care”. They would have been able to discriminate against anyone who did not agree with their views – views, particularly within the Baptists & Pentecostals, which were all created by Men in order to control everyone else.
The ALP, Greens et al. tell us that Women should make up 50% of all MPs, Senators etc. – it is a fantastic Aspiration – unfortunately the ALP has mead it mandatory and to get those numbers it Guarantees it’s Female Candidates two very important things: A Safe Seat & a Fast-Track into a Ministry – The people of SA saw what a disaster that was during the 16 years of ALP Government in that State.
Maybe now we should aim to have, to start with, our Parliaments with 50% Heterosexuals & 50% Homosexuals – broadening that to encompass other members of the GLBTIQ+ Community.

The loss of Zimmerman and Wilson from Parliament shouldn’t be mourned by the Queer Community. I cannot remember either of them speaking out in defence of our community if only rarely. Zimmerman maybe but certainly not Wilson
I can’t understand any queer people supporting Tory politics in this country when it is so obvious that all the Tories aspire to is complete denial and repression of our community.
Thank fuck they’re gone…

I’m as straight as they come, and am glad to see all of these people in parliament – as I think most right-minded people will be. What people do is important. Their gender orientation is of no relevance to how well they represent their constituants. However, for the benefit of others in this community, I hope their increased presence in parliament shows that a majority of this country does not care for the politics of division that the previous government seemed to have at its heart.
