Lush joins gay marriage campaign
Lush Cosmetics will partner up with Australian Marriage Equality (AME) this week to turn its shops across Australia into 鈥榗ampaign centres鈥� where people can drop in to learn about marriage equality and sign a petition asking the government to take action and remove discrimination from the Marriage Act.
Lush staff, customers and supporters are also being invited to pucker up on Saturday as part of a nationwide Kiss and Tell protest from 1pm.
Sales of Lush’s limited edition Freedom Foamer Bubble Bar product will also be donated to AME’s campaign to end marriage discrimination.
鈥淲e believe that that everyone should have the right to marry the person they love,鈥� Lush campaign manager Megan Taylor said.
“Many of our staff, customers, friends and family are not given the same rights as everyone else and we felt, for the sake of our friends, we had to challenge this injustice.鈥�
