Northern Ireland as well as Australia still does not allow marriage equality. This has to change in 2016, but nothing will change with an Australian Coalition Government in power. The next federal election will be in 2019. Hopefully Labor wins and get this marriage equality sorted within 100 days after the 2019 election. Northern Ireland is being taken to court over this same-sex marriage ban and an outcome or ruling should be coming soon!
