It should be stressed that none of the glbti ageing issues discussed at the forum attended by the Minister would have been in the public arena had Jo not done all that pioneering work over many years.
Jo continues to push issues on aged care in the gay, lesbian, transgender and HIV communities (GLTH) which should have been further advanced with education and training in aged care if GLTH oreganisations had risen to the challenge many years ago when ageing entered the minds of the public because of the baby boomers and the generation before them.
Our thanks to Dr Jo Harrison for tirelessly continuing to challenge the system which has ignored us for so many years and still continues to ignore those of us who are not only ageing but AGED!!!
