Everyone that got their cheap thrill out of it, won’t understand it & much less appreciate the context of those senses that were relevant & important to this story. This crap would feel like such a door slam on fingers to the creators, initially pleased to have their vital hard work on display for ALL to enjoy! Here’s something for people to consider. Ian Thorpe has large feet, which give him an advantage over other swimmers. There will always be an athlete who has some kind of natural advantage, be it height, be it foot size, be it anything. It’s just like someone who has to study for weeks for an exam, as opposed to someone who can look at it and remember it once, and that person does better in an exam. What do you do, deduct marks from the former? As you say, Dutton is no ally to the LGBTIQA Community.

Bloody ridiculous! We should welcome the Police and Ambos marching in their uniforms with pride. I think it’s disgusting they were not allowed. Are we not all about acceptance and diversity? Whose stupid decision was this? I don’t recall being consulted neither does anyone I know. It seems like we’re being hijacked by someone with an agenda and it reflects poorly upon our community. I watched the JOY live stream. The number of people on Fitzroy Street watching the Pride March looked much less than recent years. There were large gaps, at times, between the different groups marching and it looked patchy. I thought the March needs a revamp, probably due to the intense heat.

To be honest, I don’t think it’s unusual for a new incoming government to totally replace the previous government’s web content with new material. Happens every time there’s a change in government in Australia too. I fear we’re at risk of overblowing a lot of the Trump V2’s initial actions as outrageous, when they’re actually what usually happens. Like reviewing unallocated or uncommitted spending approved by the previous government. Happens here by unwritten convention, but in the US by Presidential Executive Order. We should save our outrage for the real horrors that may come once he’s fully operational.

Tasmanian City Councilor for Burnie Trent Aitken has spoken. Unfortunately, some still-common anti-humanity views. He is obviously not familiar with my doctoral research on human sexuality at the UTas (1990). He might find the sequel book “Humanity and Human Sexuality: The Origin and Nature of Sexual Preference” (eg, Amazon) enlightening. It explains sexual preference, addresses transgender, and shows that the origin of psychological disorder arises in inhumanity such as that expressed and spoken by Councilor Trent Aitken.
