Pam Ann trollies Qantas on turbulence
THE naughtiest air-hostess to the stars, Pam Ann, is just about to hit the stage tonight for her final Sydney show as part of this year’s Mardi Gras – Â but she has something on her mind: her brothers and sisters at Qantas facing an uncertain future.
Ms Ann’s alter ego Caroline Reid used her sardonic ways to show empathy for the girls and boys in the sky.
“I am just catching up on the news. It is so topical. I feel sorry for (Qantas cabin crew) only having one flight attendant for an international long haul flight. Now they are going to do everything. They are going to have to do the fuelling, the maintenance – they are going to be busy bitches,” she said.
She also took a pot shot at the Qantas bosses for redoing the uniforms when in such dire financial times: “The thing I f…ing love about Qantas is they got the f…ing Martin Grant uniform made just in time. Seriously those uniforms will go so well the maintenance department.”
After flying in for Mardi Gras and a busy tour season ahead, she felt like in-room dining at her hotel: “I might just send a drag queen dressed like me and stay in my hotel and get some Asian cock,” referring to the sweet an sour chicken on the menu – or so it would seem.
Reid’s show recently toured New York and was a huge hit, but she did want to brag saying that her main purpose of being the Big Apple was to “go online looking for black cock” keeping up her theme of being the filthiest cabin-crew member ever.
With enough chutzpah and insider knowledge to rival a Qantas CEO, no one – bar no one – does airline satire quite like Pam Ann. First,  Business or buried up the back in ‘cattle’, there is no part of air travel that Pam can’t negotiate. She literally has an air hanger filled with airborne commentary on the quirks of some of the biggest international airlines, as well as stereotypes commonly held about flight attendants everywhere.
Reid says her latest show Plane Filthy will “take passengers on the flight of their lives from check-in to security, boarding and (hopefully) landing with brand new mix of camp, culture, humour and Pucci-clad fabulousness.”
