Queen Releases Never Before Heard Track Featuring Freddie Mercury

British rock band Queen has released a never before heard track featuring the vocals of the late Freddie Mercury.聽
The four-minute song, called Face It Alone, was released by the band on Thursday, October 13.聽
Recorded in 1988 As One of 16 Unreleased Songs
The song was initially recorded in 1988, as one of 30 songs Queen recorded while producing their 13th album, The Miracle. 14 made the cut.聽
It was the second to last album recorded with Mercury as he passed away on November 24, 1991,聽at the age of 45, from complications of AIDS.聽
The song was rediscovered while the band鈥檚 production team was working on The Miracle box set reissue.
Queen drummer Roger Taylor,聽73, explained, 鈥淲e鈥檇 kind of forgotten about this track but there it was, this little gem. It鈥檚 wonderful, a real discovery. It鈥檚 a very passionate piece.鈥�
Talking about Face It Alone, Queen guitarist Brian May, 72, said, 鈥淚鈥檓 happy that our team were able to find this track.聽 After all these years, it鈥檚 great to hear all four of us 鈥� yes, Deacy is there too 鈥� working in the studio on a great song idea which never quite got completed 鈥� until now!鈥澛�
First Song Released Featuring Freddie Mercury In Eight Years
The song is the first song released in eight years to feature vocals by Mercury.聽
Queen鈥檚 2014 album Queen Forever featured three unheard Mercury tracks, including There Must Be More to Life Than This,聽 Let Me in Your Heart Again, and Love Kills.
Queen The Miracle Collector’s Edition聽will be released on November 18. It includes six more unreleased songs as well as the band’s banter, outtakes, instrumentals, and radio interviews.
Queen was formed in 1970.聽The band was made up of Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon.
